  • Name, email address, and business details you provide when creating an account.
• Work and business data
  • Information you create while using the App, including clients, visits, services, materials, estimates, invoices, timestamps, and related records.
• Location-related data
  • OnSight processes precise location coordinates on your device to help detect nearby client sites and estimate time on site.
  • Precise location coordinates are not transmitted to or stored on our servers unless you choose to record a visit.
  • When a visit is recorded, location-derived work data (such as visit start and end times, duration, and associated client location) is stored as part of your work records.
• Authentication and session data
  • Information required to authenticate you and maintain your session, such as encrypted credentials, authentication tokens, and session identifiers.
• Device and diagnostic data
  • Limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, and crash or error reports used to maintain reliability and performance.

We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising or marketing purposes.

• Provide core functionality
  • Detect and record site visits when you choose to do so.
  • Generate estimates, invoices, and summaries based on recorded work.
• Operate and improve the App
  • Monitor performance, reliability, and crash behavior.
  • Improve accuracy of visit detection and related features.
• Notifications
  • Send optional notifications and reminders related to visits, invoices, or account activity.
  • Delivery of notifications may involve platform services operated by Apple or Google, which may process limited technical data required to deliver messages.
• Security
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to unauthorized access or misuse.

• Secure transmission
  • Data is transmitted using encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
• Secure storage
  • Account and work data are stored on secure cloud infrastructure using industry-standard safeguards.
• Offline storage
  • Some information may be stored locally on your device to support offline functionality and is synchronized when connectivity is restored.
• Access controls
  • Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel and monitored for unauthorized activity.
• Passwords
  • Passwords are never stored in plain text.

OnSight requests access to location services only to support features you choose to use, such as visit detection and time tracking.

You can disable location access at any time in your device settings. Doing so may limit features that rely on location awareness, including automatic visit suggestions and dwell time calculations.

• Service providers
  • We share limited information with trusted service providers who help operate OnSight (such as cloud hosting, email delivery, and error monitoring). These providers are permitted to use information only as necessary to provide services on our behalf.
• Legal requirements
  • We may disclose information if required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or Honed Edge LLC.

We do not sell or rent personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the App.

• Account deletion
  • You can delete your account at any time using the in-app account deletion feature. This removes your account and associated data from our active systems.

  • You may also request deletion by contacting [email protected].

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data.

OnSight is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App or on this website.
